Description
Documentary filmmakers Rintu Thomas and Sushmit Ghosh examine the inner workings of India's only independent, women-owned and operated newspaper. At the paper's helm stands Meera, the chief reporter and former member of the Dalit caste, considered by Indian culture as the lowest caste. Despite the criticisms of her male-dominated society, Meera and her colleagues strive to deliver unbiased reporting on controversial issues that affect marginalized sectors using contemporary reporting methods, including introducing cell phones into their regular working day.
